Nominations for 2006-2007 Outstanding Staff & Staff Who Make A Difference now being accepted. Nominations will be accepted through March 19, 2007.

Celebrating Staff Excellence
Since 1986, members of UC Riverside’s staff community have chosen to honor members with awards that recognize exceptional service on behalf of the university and within the community.

    · The Outstanding Staff Award
    · Staff Who Make A Difference Award

These awards are presented to honorees during a special ceremony in the Spring and presided over by the Chancellor. The awards offer a way for UCR to honor staff members who deserve special recognition for the hard work and skills they bring to both their work and community life. This is a wonderful way to acknowledge outstanding efforts during tough economic times.

Nominee Profile
The Outstanding Staff Award Committee will seek to award staff excellence in the following four major categories of job classifications:

  • Professional (i.e. Supervisor, Director, etc.)
  • Administrative Support (i.e. Analyst, Accountant, etc.)
  • Technical (i.e. Programmer Analyst, Computer Support Specialist, etc.)
  • Service (i.e. Food services workers, Custodial Services, Parking Services, etc.)
  • Unknown

The committee is looking for the widest, most diverse pool of candidates for each of these categories. All departments are encouraged to nominate someone in their respective category. Eligibility extends to any career staff member in good standing. Managers, in particular, should nominate deserving employees as a way of validating hard working employees. All career staff employees are eligible for nomination.

Please answer the questions below with as much specific detail as possible to help the committee fully comprehend the impact the nominee has made on the campus and community. Each nominee will be evaluated based on his/her career excellence, campus service and community involvement. We wish to reach the broadest cross section of employees possible!
